One of two fanart pieces done recently. Sorry for the horrible quality, it was done with a camera that I can't seem to focus when the flash is off. I'll try and get a better image of it up soon.

This is Devendra Banhart, by the way. Check out his music if you haven't. He's grrrreat!

Watercolor, colored pencil, marker, and acrylic paint on illustration board. Various images found through google of Devendra Banhart were used.

Goddamn, lookin' good!
Love the shadowing on his arms and neck and face. So real, but makes me think of roast meat, since the golden-brown tones are so.. 'ripe', you know? You get what I mean. (I'm sure you do, right?)

Awesome tones overall, make me think of a windowless, hot room with no air circulation and perhaps lots of smoking from a hookah. But I'm sure that's precisely the Devendra Banhart style.

I enjoy the contrast between his very photorealistic face and then Pibitystyle hands. X] Slightly feminine pibitystyle hands, too.

My favorite part of this is the background, not to say there's anything wrong with the rest of it. :]]]

The whole piece looks very vintagey, but if you are to be believed, that may just be the camera.
